The main continent of Hökaland.

Welcome to the Hökaland Wiki. Please see the introduction for more information on the world. It's currently just populated by Leord (Gunnar Petzäll), the crazy sod who created the setting, but may or may not have additional authors in the future.

This wiki covers everything about Hökaland; the world itself, history, geology, religions and important characters. It also covers the Hökaland "meta game" (that is still not permanently mothballed) as well as Hökaland the online web strategy game. Currently the wiki has 507 pages of which includes 501 articles.

A large focus on this wiki is unsurprisingly on Dungeons & Dragons as wells as Pathfinder rules, since the setting was originally conceived as a campaign setting and then just took off on its own. This includes attempts at making DnD/PF more adapted to the slightly darker and low-magic world of Hökaland.

This material supersedes and replaces whatever is left on the Obsidian Portal page for this setting.

Division of information

The wiki is divided in to several sections, including different types of information. General information about the world of Hökaland will be separated from any type of rules relating to any game I place there, such as the roleplaying (currently using DnD 3.5 and Pathfinder), the possible future game of houses (also referred to as the "meta-game") and my dream of finishing the web-based game.

The World

This section introduces the world of Hökaland.

When reading articles in the wiki, please keep in mind that it is unlikely that any characters in the world or one you play will know these things. The wiki is written very objectively: This is how the world IS, not how people conceive it.
