The Pathfinder 2e system builds on legacy from Pathfinder (and as such, DnD 3.5) with a heavier focus on balance and letting numerous conditions bear the brunt of the mechanics (pros and cons). It has significantly higher customisation and meta-gaming opportunities than DnD 5e. It has slightly less advanced all-in web tools, but lots of great little tools by different authors.

I use Pathfinder 2e for some campaigns with players who like it, and I like it for its strict "RAW" balance.
