Blindfight

This is a shorthand for fighting blind or in darkness (point is: Can't see your target or attacker) without darkvision with a few house rules. I refer to it here as "Blinded".
Blinded Rules
- Blinded suffer -2 penalties to their Armor Classes.
- Blinded lose their Dexterity bonuses (if any) to Armor Classes.
- Blinded move at half speed.
- Blinded cannot charge or run.
- Blinded suffer -4 penalties to Search skill checks and most Strength-based and Dexterity-based skill checks.1
- Blinded fail if they attempt any checks or activities that rely on sight.
- Blinded is immune to gaze attacks.
- Blinded makes all attacks with a 50% miss chance due to concealment.
- Blinded can as a free action on her turn make Perception skill check.(*)
- DC is equal to:
- The other's Stealth skill check result (10, if no check is made).
- +1 DC per 5 foot away beyond the first 5.
- Not possible if standing absolutely still.
- Success indicates general direction to the other. Meaning:
- Know which square it is if within 5ft of her.
- Know it's 1 of 2 squares if within 10ft of her.
- Know it's 1 of 4 squares if within 20ft of her.
- Know it's 1 of 9 squares if within 40ft of her.
- Know it's 1 of 25 squares if within 80ft of her.
- Success by 20 higher than the DC pinpoints the other's location.
- If Blinded makes attacks without pinpointing the other's location:
- each melee attack is made into a random square within the attacker's reach.
- each ranged attack is made in a random direction at the closest target in that direction.
- DC is equal to:
- Blinded can, as a standard action, make a touch attack with hands or weapons into two adjacent squares. Success pinpoints the other's location if the other is in either square. If the other moves to a different location, the new location must be pinpointed.
- If Blinded is hit by the other's attack, the defender pinpoints the attacker's location. If the attacker has more than 5 ft. reach or the attack was a ranged attack, the defender knows only the attacker's direction.
- Blinded can't make attacks of opportunity.
- Blinded can't inflict precision damage.
- Blinded can't use gaze attacks.
(*) = Contains house rules
Attacking into Darkness
Attacker can't attack target but, instead, picks a square which he believes the target occupies and attacks that square's occupant (if any). Due to concealment, attacks versus the square's occupant (if any) have a 50% miss chance.
